
Aurora Downtown hosts an array of amazing events throughout the year like First Fridays and Art and Market. Come visit the popular Food Truck Festival during May’s First Fridays as well as a free, summer concert series at Millennium Plaza. Outdoor events such as Alley Art Festival and Aurora Downtown’s movie series are summer staples. All events are free unless otherwise noted.

Aurora Downtown (a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization) hosts the following events:
First Fridays | First Friday of the month (no January or July).
Enjoy art, music, and more as the downtown opens up dozens of venues for all ages to explore from February through December (no July). Visit in August for our Downtown Block Party on Stolp Avenue. September’s First Fridays brings Roots Aurora to Water Street Mall. In November, Aurora Downtown celebrates Day of the Dead during Sugar Skull City.

Boss Babes | 3rd Thursdays at Wyckwood House from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Art & Market Aurora | Spring and Fall at Society 57 from 9 to 1 p.m. on select Saturdays
Egg Hunt on the Island | Saturday prior to Easter weekend. 1 to 3 p.m.
Scavenger hunt and activities for all ages throughout downtown.
Bunny at the Gazebo | Saturday prior to Easter weekend | Millennium Plaza | 1 to 3 p.m.

Outdoor Movie Series | Special dates at The Venue
Bring your own chair! Enjoy free movies under the stars at Mundy Park in downtown Aurora. Movies start at dusk, seating opens at 7 p.m.
Music & Market | Summer Wednesdays series from 5 to 8 p.m. Concerts at 6 p.m.
Stop by Stolp Avenue starting mid-July to mid-August for this six-week series hosted by Aurora Downtown and City of Aurora Special Events.
Alley Art Festival | Last Saturday in August from noon to 5 p.m. at Water Street Mall and Downer Place in downtown Aurora.
Trick-or-Treat in Downtown | Saturday before Halloween from 1 to 3 p.m. Various participating businesses.
Aurora Downtown hosts a downtown-wide Trick-or-Treating event for all ages.
Sugar Skull City | October 15 to First Fridays weekend in November
Celebrate Day of the Dead in downtown Aurora. Enjoy the tradition of an honored cultural holiday.
Santa at the Gazebo | First two Saturdays in December at Millennium Plaza from 1 to 3 p.m.
Take a photo with Santa Claus! Photos will be available for digital download after the event.
Cocoa Crawl | First Fridays in December from 5 to 9 p.m.
Purchase a mug and a button to participate. Attendees receive samples of hot chocolate at participating venues.
