The Crystal House is not just a store to purchase crystal merchandise, it also deals in one of a kind gifts and engravings tailored for each customer. The new location is opening up soon at 59 S. LaSalle St.
Owners, Elias Akwo and Chaz Nieponski, pictured above next to The Crystal House storefront, live in Wheaton. It was after they visited during a First Friday that they decided to expand The Crystal House and Nieponski Gallery in Aurora. Chaz stated that “they loved the feel of the downtown, the uniqueness of it, and how people are allowed to freely express themselves.”
The store will be both The Crystal House and Nieponski Gallery, where you can also purchase Chaz Nieponski’s artwork. Chaz calls her work “portraits with a twist” and uses acrylics to create them. Below is an example of one of the paintings by Chaz Nieponski that the Nieponski Gallery will have for sale and display.
The Crystal House also has a partnership with the US Navy Exchange where they sell custom crystal gifts. Below is an example of one of their products, a beer mug with the Navy logo on it.
They pride themselves on making unique crystal engravings that are personalized for each customer and go one step above to give them a special gift. Elias Akwo stated that “we will be making specialty items based on downtown Aurora.” He is currently collecting images that reflect the downtown Aurora culture. Below is an example of an Aurora themed glass that The Crystal House will have at their store.
The grand opening of The Crystal House will be taking place on December 6 during First Friday. Elias Akwo and Chaz Nieponski will be releasing a 100% beeswax candle collection, the La Bee Home Collection, that customers can have engraved. The candle is natural and will be in a special crystal holder. The majority of the proceeds from the sale of the candles will go toward helping entrepreneurs in war-torn countries.
Make sure to check out The Crystal House and Nieponski Gallery on December 6. Find out more about The Crystal House on their website.
