Soulful Showcase promotes positive change on March 1

Actor and music producer Martrell Webb will be hosting and presenting an anti-gun violence Soulful Showcase music event at new cafe and venue Society 57 on March 1, 2020. This free neo-soul and R&B event serves as a celebration and expression of creativity, as well as a catalyst for positive change in our communities. This is an opportunity for us to illustrate #AuroraStrong by inviting people of all ages to unite for a night of music and social change.

The Soulful Showcase will begin in the venue section of Society 57 at 5pm, at 100 S. River St. in Aurora. Live music from some of Aurora’s very own R&B artists will also be performing their uptempo soulful grooves. Some musicians like Lord Haiti will be giving audience members, especially young children, the opportunity to perform throughout his beat segment performance. There will be merchandise raffle giveaways along with even a chance for a radio interview to the best kid that’s brave enough to touch the mic. Street parking is available and the venue is walkable from the Aurora stop on the Metra BNSF line.
