Mundy Park at Water Street Mall
Mundy Park is a small pocket park in downtown Aurora that faces Broadway and opens up to Water Street Mall near Aurora’s City Hall. The park has picnic tables and benches and is the perfect place to picnic or relax in the shade of the locust trees. Local musicians perform in the park on the last Saturday of August during Alley Art Festival. The park is also adjacent to The Venue, a live concert space at 21 S. Broadway.
Millennium Plaza is situated along Stolp Avenue behind the historic Leland Tower in downtown Aurora. The public park is a landmark with its Millennium tower that points to the North Star. Wide stairs that look out to the Fox River descend to a gazebo perfect for live music or performance – kids love it!
The 30-acre park was designed in a way that would serve many purposes. From the canoe/kayak launch and natural landscaping to the VIP Rooftop Deck and 10-acre music venue, this is the new recreation and entertainment destination of the suburbs. Bring your kids and fly a kite. Enjoy a local band in the music pavilion with friends. Spread out a blanket and watch fireworks with the family on the 4th of July. RiverEdge Park is your backyard away from home.
Spend the afternoon kayaking the beautiful Fox River just north of downtown Aurora.
