David Ramirez + Matt Costa bring their tales of love and loss to The Venue on Thursday October 21. My Love Is A Hurricane, Ramirez’ latest release is a myriad of sounds and emotions. Musically all over the map and lyrically using heartbreak as a method to describe the glory of life. Creative in ways most songwriters never know, David Ramirez uses his paints with broad strokes that tell his tale and leaves space for the listener to find their own parallel. Matt Costa knows that love has the power to soothe as well as devastate. His latest record Yellow Coat found him writing for the sake of writing after being on tour for the better part of two years and ending a relationship. There was no end goal. There was just writing. These two songwriters are at creative peaks and show no signs of stopping. The two on the same bill can only mean an evening of incredible music. Showtime 8PM. Premium Seating $30, General Admission $25 (All ticket prices increase by $5 at the door).

Dave Herrero & Anne Harris perform at The Venue on Saturday October 23. What happens when you meld two likeminded musicians with different backgrounds and influences? Something magical when it comes to these two world renown artists. Ethereal yet realistic, spiritual and yet street corner. Music in a different dimension hoping to capture your soul in the clouds or on the dirt ground. There is a dynamic and a chemistry that is unmatched when these two pair. Blues, Folk, Rock, improvisation and a commitment to Earth are the sounds that will be woven. A unique show. A unique union. Showtime 8PM. Premium Seating $20, General Admission $15 (All ticket prices increase by $5 at the door).

Steve Forbert makes his debut at The Venue on Wednesday October 27. For over four decades Steve Forbert has been on the scene or behind the scenes. He continues to captivate audiences with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, harmonica and a voice containing songs from the heart. His songs have been covered by the likes of Keith Urban, Rosanne Cash and Marty Stuart (to name a few). He is the songwriter that songwriters go to for inspiration. Showtime 8PM. Premium Seating $20, General Admission $15 (All ticket prices will increase by $5 at the door).

The Heavy Sounds featuring Oscar Wilson bring their special collaboration to The Venue on Friday October 29. The Heavy Sounds are a Chicago collective steeped in the old school sounds of Stax records and early 60’s funk of The Meters. They are no strangers to The Venue. They put on a spectacular Soul review for The Venue’s first Valentine’s Day party that was one for the ages. Oscar Wilson is no stranger to The Venue either. He is the singer, songwriter and harmonica player for The Cash Box Kings. Their appearance at The Venue was wild and still being spoken of. The pairing of The Heavy Sounds and Oscar bring something incredibly unique and not to be missed. Blues, Soul, Funk, Rock and Roll will all be ready, willing and able! Showtime 8PM. Premium Seating $25, General Admission $20 (All ticket prices will increase by $5 at the door).

Album Covers Presents Black Sabbath for a very special Halloween Party at The Venue on Saturday October 30. The Album Covers crew is preparing for a Halloween no one is likely to forget. In addition to playing Black Sabbath’s debut album, the band will play an additional set of Black Sabbath featuring all of the head banging hits you’ve come to know and love. “We are going to do this music justice, full commitment!” Scott Tipping says. He will be joined by some of the usual Album Covers crew and Fox Valley favorites, Chad Watson, Justin O’Connell as well as newcomer Matt Anderson. Showtime 8PM. Premium Seating $20, General Admission $15 (All prices will increase by $5 at the door).
