Aurora’s first Pride Parade stepped off at noon on Sunday, June 17 in downtown Aurora. About 3,000 participants marched in the parade organized by Indivisible Aurora. Several local organizations, churches, politicians, and more filled Benton Street, Broadway, and Downer Place with cheers and rainbows. Aurora Downtown and Aurora 88s Roller Derby marched in the parade with a colorful float and a four-wheel Surrey bike. Paramount Theatre joined the parade with 350 marchers.
