Mingle around refreshments from 5:30 to 6:30, when storyteller Shanta Nurullah will perform Stories and Songs of African People, which includes poetry, chants, traditional African music, and stories for all ages. Shanta creatively weaves African folk tales and modern African-American perspectives into a spellbinding narrative of empowerment, healing, and self-love.
